A weekend tour to Manchester for fans of Coronation Street. Go behind the scenes of the Coronation Street set, see the Rovers Return, stroll past the Roy’s Rolls Café and follow in the footsteps of our favourite characters

 

DAY ONE

 

• Depart from your home area and travel to Altrincham, arriving late afternoon at the Best Western Plus Pinewood Hotel. 2-night stay - dinner, bed and breakfast. On Route we visit Chester. Chester is a historic city in Cheshire, known for its Roman and medieval heritage, which includes the most complete Roman walls in Britain and unique two-tiered shopping galleries called "The Rows". It is situated on the River Dee, near the Welsh border, and offers a mix of historical sites like Chester Cathedral and a large Roman amphitheatre with a vibrant modern atmosphere featuring shops, restaurants, and bars. 

 

DAY TWO

 

• This morning, we travel to the Trafford Centre, a large indoor shopping and leisure complex and home to many restaurants where you can enjoy lunch. If retail therapy is not your thing, there is the option to visit the Manchester Sea Life Centre. In the afternoon we make our way to the ITV studios for our Coronation Street Tour. Explore Coronation Streets’ famous cobbles as you stroll past Roy’s Rolls Café or check out Kev’s car shop, Webster’s Auto Centre. Wander past The Kabin, see the most action-packed pub in the North West, The Rovers Return and even Weatherfield North.

 

DAY THREE

 

• After breakfast, we leave and begin our journey home stopping off at Liverpool on the way. Liverpool is packed full of things to see and do; the question is what will you see and do?  From iconic national museums at the Albert Dock to The Beatles story or may be take an open-top bus ride around the sights.

The tranquil Best Western Plus Pinewood Hotel is located in Wilmslow and has great links to the motorways. All bedrooms are ensuite and have a television, telephone, and hairdryer along with tea & coffee making facilities and an iron/ironing board. The hotel has a lift which serves some floors.
