Explore the streets of this lovely Kent Town and immerse yourself in the history of beautiful Old High Street and Creative Quarter, which are packed with attractive independent shops, striking little galleries, and popular cafes. No visit to Folkestone is complete without a visit to the harbour just opposite the hotel which offers a unique view of the coastline along with the former Railway Station/harbour that has been transformed into a vibrant ever-growing collection of independent businesses that has become a centre for food, drink and live entertainment. Our hotel is ideal for the beach. If the weather is fine – enjoy a walk along this famous coastline and ideal for bird watchers too from gulls to more rare species of birds that are often noted.

• An excursion to Battle. In the heart of 1066 country, you’ll find Battle’s home to history and modern mixed together from a bustling mix of independent shops and the historical part just waiting to be discovered including the Battle Abbey or the award-winning Almonry Gardens are worthy of a visit as is the Battle Museum.

• An excursion to Canterbury. Often referred as the jewel in the Kent’s crown, this historic walled city is home of the iconic Canterbury Cathedral, parts of which date back to the 11^th century.  There is also the Norman Canterbury Castle or delve into the history at Canterbury Roman Museum. There are plenty of shopping opportunities Cathedral Quarter boasting some fantastic independent and boutique shops, it's the perfect spot for a little retail therapy.
