Buxton is a spa town nestled in the centre of the beautiful Peak District. With its magnificent ornamental gardens and world famous Georgian and Victorian architecture, which provide an impressive backdrop to the town, it is not surprising the town is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region.

 

Whilst on tour, the following program includes;

 

Day 1 

 

• Crooked Spire town of Chesterfield on Market Day with time to explore prior travelling to Buxton to the hotel. Chesterfield can refer to a town in Derbyshire, known for its "Crooked Spire" and proximity to the Peak District, or to a style of furniture, most famously a deep-buttoned, leather sofa with low, rolled arms.

 

Day 2 

 

• Trentham Gardens is a vast estate featuring award-winning formal and contemporary gardens, a lake with activities, woodland walks, and a shopping village. The Monkey Forest is a separate, 60-acre park within the estate where 140 free-roaming Barbary macaques live in a semi-wild environment, and visitors can walk among them on a path. 

 

Day 3

 

• Chatsworth House is a historic stately home in Derbyshire, owned by the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire and home to the Cavendish family since the 1550s. It is known for its significant art collection spanning 4,000 years, including paintings, sculptures, and artifacts, housed within over 30 rooms such as the Painted Hall and Sculpture Gallery. The estate also features a vast 105-acre garden with elaborate waterworks, a maze, and a public park, making it a popular tourist attraction that has appeared in films like Pride and Prejudice.  

 

Day 4

 

• Enjoy some free time in Buxton prior to a visit to the popular market town of Bakewell. Bakewell is a historic market town in Derbyshire, known for its association with the famous Bakewell pudding and tart. It is situated in a picturesque valley on the River Wye and is often called the "capital" of the Peak District National Park,
