The village of Ravenscar has a long and turbulent history, dating back to the fifth century when the Romans built a fort on this very site. It was however George III who gave Raven Hall the royal connection when he made it his special retreat.The village is set amongst beautiful countryside with a variety of landscapes and an abundance of wildlife.

Day 1 - We stop off at Pickering on route to the hotel for some free time at this delightful Market town. We then make our way to Ravenscar arriving early afternoon.

Day 2 - Today we celebrate Christmas Eve. We have a trip to Scarborough. Nestled into the rugged Yorkshire coastline, Scarborough is the perfect place to experience the thrill of the sea. Scarborough offers a diverse range of attractions and activities for all ages.

Day 3 - Today we celebrate Christmas Day. Raven Hall has the following programme of events:

• Morning Devotions, Carols and Readings in the George III Suit.

• Relax with a glass of Sherry in the Lounge before Lunch

• Festive Christmas Lunch in the Panorama restaurant

• Father Christmas arrives

• Evening Buffet in the George III Suite

• Evening Entertainment

Day 4 - An excursion to Whitby. A town full of contrasts, Fish and chips and ice cream; history and culture; vampires and Goths: it’s all on offer at Whitby, one of the North East coast’s best-loved seaside towns.

Day 5 - After breakfast we return on our homeward journey making suitable stops en- route.
