Taking place on Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May, the Whitby Fish and Ships Festival is back for 2024 promising a lively celebration of Whitbys rich fishing heritage. Join us for live cookery demonstrations from top local chefs, exclusive tours at some of Whitbys top attractions alongside incredible live music from local bands and sea balladeers. There will be plenty of family activities and entertainment, local exhibitors and so much more!
Cooking demonstrations in the Seafood Kitchen headlined by local chefs
Live Music from local artists organised by Whitby Brewery and Whitby Sea Salt
Expert skills on display in the Fish Craft Marquee by Magpie Café, L&W Shellfish, Lockers Trawlers & Hodgson Fish.
Learn about the local fishing industry in the Fish Craft Marquee, with suppliers from all around Whitby
Get crafty with Whitby Museum, Captain Cook Museum, Pannett Art Gallery & Whitby Library. Over the weekend everybody is invited to take part by creating fish and ship themed items to add to the display
Performances of the Chip Shop Chronicles by Dogwood Productions
Street Theatre performances including an appearance from an inquisitive pirate
Local stall holders including Made in Whitby & Whitby Market
Folk music at the bandstand by Whitby Sea Festival

The majority of trips return from destination between 16:30 and 17:30. The driver will inform you of the exact time on the day, dependant on outward travel times. Whilst we do not guarantee a W/C on board most of our excursion fleet do have toilet facilities. For your comfort we allocate seating at time of booking, however reserve the right to alter or amend your seat allocation for utilisation purposes.
