Lancaster’s Charter Market is a traditional street market which can be found in the city centre in the shadow of many of Lancaster’s interesting and historic buildings. The market is held every Wednesday and Saturday from 9am – 4.30pm (4pm in winter) and features a wide range of stalls including

 

• Fruit and vegetables

• Fish, deli stall, herbs and spices, preserves and conserves

• Home-made cakes and breads (including French and North African)

• Confectionary

• Flowers, plants and shrub

• Hand-crafted and fashion jewellery and accessories (bags, scarves, hats)

• Hand-made pottery and ceramics

• Craft supplies and stationery

• Hand-made and fair-trade crafted item

• Pet supplies

• Clothing including alternative and gothic

• Bedding and textiles

• And a wide range of stalls selling hot and cold snacks (including Indian, Moroccan, Italian, vegetarian, hog-roast, soups, pasties and pies, speciality sausages, donuts, and ice cream in the summer).

The majority of trips return from destination between 16:30 and 17:30. The driver will inform you of the exact time on the day, dependant on outward travel times. Whilst we do not guarantee a W/C on board most of our excursion fleet do have toilet facilities. For your comfort we allocate seating at time of booking, however reserve the right to alter or amend your seat allocation for utilisation purposes.
