Famous for its diverse culture and fascinating heritage, the Isle of Man’s unique charm continues to impress visitors all year round. With rugged cliffs, sandy beaches, hidden coves and spectacular glens just waiting to be explored. It is home to one of Europe’s best preserved medieval castles and the world’s largest working waterwheel.

DAY 1 Morning departure for ferry from Heysham to Douglas. Continue to Douglas for 4 nights dinner, bed and breakfast

Whilst on the Isle of Man, the following programme includes;

• We travel to the historic mining village of Laxey, home of the famous largest water wheel. We also include a ride on the famous mountain railway to enjoy sweeping views of the island. We visit Ramsey – the second’s 2nd largest town with free time.

• A free Day in Douglas – a thriving coastal resort with lots of things to see and do, including a newly refurbished promenade and its Victorian Pier. Or perhaps explore more of the island at leisure.

• Enjoy a visit aboard the famous Isle of Man Steam Railway which meanders through rolling green countryside. We also visit Castle Rushen – one of the worlds’s most finely preserved medieval castles, plus Peel – famous for its kippers, castle and sandy beach.

DAY 5 Early breakfast for return crossing to Heysham. Continue home.

Rutland Hotel ***

The Rutland Hotel sits on the Queens Promenade with panoramic views across Douglas Bay. It’s only a short walk from the town centre where you will find shops, bars and restaurants. It has 64 bedrooms all complete with en-suite bathrooms, a TV and tea and coffee making facilities. Free Wi-Fi is available in public areas.
